Calhoun County man told to stop filing free appeals of murder conviction

JACKSON (WCBI) – The Mississippi Supreme Court said it has seen and read enough from a Calhoun County man serving a life sentence for murder.

Gregory Todd Dunn, 51, was convicted of the 1993 shooting death of his girlfriend and sentenced to life.

Dunn has filed multiple appeals in the case, each of which has been rejected for various reasons.

Thursday, The Mississippi Supreme Court told Dunn he would no longer be able to make any more appeals unless he paid the fee required to file the paperwork.

Up until now, Dunn had received pauper status in the courts meaning all of the years of filings were free.
