Candle Light Vigil For Spruiell
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Dozens of area first responders and medical staff at Baptist Memorial are remembering NMMC Flight Nurse Jim Spruiell.
Many shedding tears as everyone gathered around the helipad at the Hospital to reflect on their friend.

Spruiell was killed Sunday, November 19, after a medical helicopter crash in Arkansas.
Chris Bourland had known Spruiell for years and says this loss leaves a huge whole in a lot of hearts.
“We’ve had some crying moments, some laughing moments just sharing memories of Jim. It’s tough, it’s been a trying times the couple of days,” says Chris Bourland, Director of Ambulance Services.
Chris says if anyone could know one thing about Spruiell, it’s that he truly had a passion for helping others.
