Car and tractor collide on Highway 45 South

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – State troopers are investigating a scary crash between a car and a tractor Friday afternoon.

The accident happened on Highway 45 South, near Evans Road.

A PT Cruiser and John Deere tractor were involved in the collision.

The tractor was hauling a hay rake.

Debris was scattered across the road.

The southbound lane was shutdown while crews cleared the scene.

Highway patrolmen have not released how many people were injured or what may have caused the crash.
