Car Parts Lead To Felony Arrest

BOONEVILLE, MS (WCBI)-  It wasn’t bread crumbs but car parts that led Booneville Police to a man who is now charged with possession of a controlled substance.  It all started with a call concerning a reckless driver along East Church street.  Officers found a damaged stop sign and then followed a trail of car parts to the parking lot of a nearby store.

That’s where they found 54 year old Terry Mathis standing next to his damaged car.  He initially said he did not own the car but then admitted it was his.   Officers then found pill bottles inside with two types of pills -pills Mathis did not have a prescription for.  Bond is set $5,000
