Changes Coming To Lowndes County Jail

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A veteran detective will now lead the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.

Captain Ryan Rickert most recently headed the criminal investigations division at the sheriff’s department.

Sheriff Mike Arledge says Rickert will be in charge of the jail staff, as the jail administrator.

Former Chief Deputy and longtime lawman Greg Wright will lead CID at the department.

Jail Administrator Rick Jones retired last week.

Several jailers were punished after the escape of Delvin Moore on September 2nd from the Lowndes County jail.

Moore remains on the run.
