Video: Changes Made After Animal Abuse Claims

LEE COUNTY (WCBI) – A compromise and some changes in the wake of claims of animal abuse involving Lee County Solid Waste workers.

Lee County Board of Supervisors president Phil Morgan says the two workers who a homeowner says hit her dog with a crowbar have been removed from that garbage route. Morgan says in the future none of the garbage trucks will carry tools that could be used to hit animals. The owner of the pet involved says she is satisfied with the actions taken by the board.
