Child Remains Critical After Abuse Investigation

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Tishomingo County child remains in critical condition at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

Meanwhile, Lonnie Lee, 35, of Iuka remains in jail on a $250,000 bond charged with felony child abuse.

Deputies say a four year-old girl was brought to an Iuka hospital this past weekend with severe external injuries.

The sheriff’s department and Mississippi Department of Human Services started the investigation then.

Investigator Greg Mitchell tells WCBI the incident remains under investigation.

More charges are possible against Lee.
