Church Hosts Special 9/11 Service

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI)-

Just down the road, inside the East Amory Baptist Church, the altar and aisles were decorated with the American flag.

The church hosted a special God and Country Service.

The church’s pastor says it’s important to come together as a community to remember and honor those affected by the event that forever changed our country.

“What we wanted to do in our evening service was to honor not only the Lord just to call to remembrance the thing that happened 15 years ago and how that has impacted us and how we need to be more conscious as citizens.” said Pastor Roger.

The service was dedicated to first responders, victims, and their families.
