Circuit Court judge for First District announces retirement

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A judge who has served the First Circuit Court District for 13 years announced his retirement.

James L. Roberts Jr. will retire on February 29.

Roberts said he is retiring due to health reasons.

Roberts has served as a Circuit Court Judge since 2007.

Over the course of his career, he also held positions as a Chancery Judge and Supreme Court Justice.
