Clay County Sheriff’s Office Makes Arson Arrests

CLAY CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – Clay County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 3 individuals in connection with a May 6, 2016 arson of a dwelling located on Tribble Road in Western Clay County.

Arrested and charged were Jason Williams, age 42 of Maben, Michael Tribble, age 54 of Cedar Bluff and Daniel Easley, age 38.

All three individuals were arraigned in Clay County Justice Court on August 19, 2016 and bond has been set at $50,000.00 each. Preliminary court date has been set for September 15, 2016 at the Clay County Justice Court.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated the arrests stem from a residential home owned by Tribble who paid to have the home burned.

Scott said the investigation is still ongoing and is currently working with other local, state and federal agencies in recovering stolen property and other possible arson cases.

Scott stated more charges and arrests will follow in the near future.
