NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) – Law enforcement are getting out the message to buckle up before your summer fun begins.

The annual “Click it or Ticket” luncheon was on Thursday in New Albany.

School will soon be out and families will hit the road for vacation or a Memorial Day getaway.

It’s a busy time on area highways.

A grant will help pay for overtime for most agencies.

The goal for law enforcement is to make sure everyone makes it home.

“We are trying to save lives and change behavior, because it is so important that people buckle up every time, every trip that they go on to help keep them alive,” said Sherman Police Chief Joel Spellins.

The “Click it or Ticket” campaign continues through June 11th.
