Nearing The Finish Line For CMSD Superintendent Search

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Some progress is being made at the Columbus Municipal School District.

Board President, Jason Spears addressed the Columbus Rotary Club to talk about the upcoming selection of the new Superintendent.

Spears says acquiring public support is crucial to the success and cooperation between the school district and the city.

“We want someone who is school-focused and of course community engaged. Certainly we want a track record of someone who has high performance,” Spears continued, “The MSBA is working toward the end of this week, when the window closes at 5 o’clock on the 23rd, and at that particular time we’ll be able to get back details to us as to how many applicants that we had.”
