Cold mornings continue, milder air arrives late week

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Temperatures remain below freezing for the next few mornings. Milder air moves in late week along with weekend rain chances.

TUESDAY: Expect plenty of sunshine and a cooler day with less wind and a high near 50°.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Another clear and cold night! Overnight lows should dip back into the 20s.

REST OF WEEK: A gradual warming trend should settle in, both for afternoon highs and overnight lows. By Friday, temperatures should be above freezing to start the day and reach 60 degrees by afternoon. While Friday should stay dry, clouds will increase ahead of an unsettled weekend.

WEEKEND: Scattered showers are back in the forecast Saturday, and they’ll likely continue through Christmas Eve into Christmas Day. While the pattern looks unsettled, there’s no sign of disruptive storms or winter weather locally. Highs Saturday – Monday should stay in the 60s.
