COLD start to the week

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Cold conditions maintain, warming slightly for the afternoons later in the week. Lows stay below freezing.

MONDAY: The coldest of the air mass sits over the Twin State region, as we begin our week. Temperatures today are going to struggle to get into the 30s. Most of the corner will stay in the 20s. Clouds will slowly work their way out by late afternoon. Wind gusts could potentially reach up to 25MPH. Wind chills will be in single digits to teens across the corner. Overnight lows will be in the low tens to single digits, possibly the negatives in some of our most North.

TUESDAY: Staying chilly but getting warmer. With a sunny and mostly clear sky, temperatures are going to be in the lower 40s. Conditions stay dry, thankfully. Lows will fall below freezing, into the lower 20s.

WEDNESDAY: Warmer by a few degrees. Afternoon highs will be in the middle 40s. There will be plenty of sun in the sky. Lows stay COLD, in the lower 20s.
