YALOBUSHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-It was only a matter of time…Two Colorado men find themselves in the Yalobusha County jail for allegedly trying to sell their medicinal marijuana for a profit.

Curtis Johnson and Jeffery Jones were stopped Sunday night for a driver’s safety checkpoint on Highway 51.

Authorities say there was a potent smell of raw marijuana which lead to the search and seizure of five bags of marijuana weighing about five ounces, $466 dollars, and a cell phone.

Johnson is reportedly from Yalobusha County originally and was in town for a funeral.

Both men are charged with possession with intent to sell.
