Columbus Board May Decide on Interim Super

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The debate over who will lead the Columbus city schools for the next few weeks may be settled Thursday.

After failing to reach an agreement Monday night on the status of current temporary superintendent Edna McGill, the school board has called a special meeting for 7:30 Thursday morning to discuss the interim superintendent position.

McGill has been leading the district since Martha Liddell was fired this summer. But the board has been able to agree on contract terms with McGill and whether they want her to continue to find someone else.
