Columbus Burglary Arrest

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI-TV) The “employees only” sign did not keep a robber out of Books A Million and a business on Hospital Drive in Columbus.

Columbus Police have arrested Rashard Givens and charged him with two counts of burglary and possession of firearm by a felon.

Investigators believe Givens stole items from employee lockers in the Columbus Books a Million, and allegedly stole a hangun from an employee’s purse while in an authorized personnel area at a separate location.

Givens is on a hold for probation violation with the Department of Corrections. Bail was denied.
