Columbus Burglary Suspect Sees TV Coverage, Turns Himself In

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -The man wanted in connection with a Columbus hotel burglary tells investigators he got tired of seeing himself on TV.

Carlos Abrams is being held on a burglary charge and a 20 thousand dollar bond.

A Columbus police spokesperson tells WCBI Abrams turned himself in at the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department last night.

That’s when he told investigators the media coverage got to him.

The Americas Best Value Inn on Highway 45 was broke into early Tuesday morning.

CPD says Abrams was kicking open doors looking for his girlfriend.

This means the charges against him could change.
