Columbus City Council agrees to install LED lights across town
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Things could soon be getting a little brighter in Columbus.
City leaders are looking into the possibility of putting up LED lights all across town.
During Tuesday’s city council meeting, the board agreed to install the lights. However, that decision hinges upon hearing back from their financial advisor on whether it’ll impact the city’s credit rating.
If everything comes to fruition, the project will cost the city just over three million dollars.
At this time the council has not set a date on when it plans to meet with its financial advisor.
