Columbus Delegate Heads To Democratic Convention

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)—The  Democratic National Convention kicks off tomorrow.

Lowdnes County’s very own district five supervisor, Leroy Brooks is attending.

Brooks has worked in Columbus as a supervisor for 35 years and this will be his 5th Democratic Convention…

Brooks says he is excited about Hillary’s campaign and that he was pleased with her choice of Kaine as her v-p.

Something he is most looking forward to this year is bringing his 13-yr old grand daughter.
Brooke says,”My grand daughter is 13 and I’m constantly trying to expose her to different things, and someone said the other day ‘don’t turn her into a politician’ well I’m not but I just want her to be exposed and I think at age 13 the things she’ll get to see at the convention and I’m hoping I’ll be able to get her a guest pass to get her down on the floor.”

Brooks leaves for the convention tomorrow morning with his wife and grand daughter.
