Columbus FD holds fourth annual department wide meeting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus firefighters learned more about the department and the plans ahead for this year.

The entire department met at the Columbus Municipal Complex Wednesday morning.

Fire Chief Martin Andrews said the goal is to go over what firemen did last year and look ahead to 2019.

There was information about training and other tools CFD uses to protect the city.

“We try to use this meeting as a communication tool to let our people know and personnel know what we did last year, what was effective, what was not effective and what we are going to do in the coming year and that way have everybody on the same page,” said Chief Martin Andrews.

This is the fourth year CFD has held a department wide meeting.
