Columbus Fire and Rescue investigates house fire as arson case

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus Fire and Rescue was conducting an arson investigation after a suspicious house fire.

Firefighters responded to a call on 14th Street North around 6 a.m. Saturday, December 2.

Investigators along with the State Fire Marshall have been able to pinpoint a person of interest in the case.

The questioned person was also the suspect of other fires in the surrounding area.

The case was still under investigation.
