Columbus-Lowndes Chapter Ducks Fundraiser

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) –  The Columbus-Lowndes Chapter of Ducks is raising funds.

Saturday, at the Magowah Gun Club in Lowndes county held a fun shoot. All the money raised from Saturday’s event are turned over to Wetlands and Water Fowl Conservationists, which is the mission of Ducks Unlimited.

Regional Director Hunter Pridgen says the event is designed to be a relaxed one. and families can come out and have a fun day of shooting.

“We call it a fun shoot. It gives families the opportunity to come out here shoot fire arms and clays. They shoot 25 rounds a piece take a break and shoot 25 more rounds. We got trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and first place will be taking home a new firearm,” said Pridgen.

“It’s a family atmosphere a fun time for Brady and I to get out to do a little skeet shooting,” said Saltillo residents Casy And Brady Bruce.

Last year, Ducks Unlimited Chapters around the state raised more than $1,700,000.
