Columbus Man Arrested For Statutory Rape

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Two weeks after the investigation started, a Columbus man has been arrested for Statutory Rape.

On August 10, Columbus Police responded to Baptist Memorial Hospital to investigate an alleged sexual assault.

The report stated, 37 year old Boris Brown, had an illegal sexual relationship with a child under the age of 16 at his Columbus home.

The child and Brown knew each other, but charges were filed against Brown and he was arrested on Monday.

His bond was denied because of a parole violation.
