Columbus Man Caught In The Act Of Burglarizing Business

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man is denied bond after being caught in the act of burglarizing a car shop.

Lamar Cobby Williams was arrested Tuesday and charged with burglary of a business.

 

Around 5:00 AM Tuesday morning, Columbus Police Department patrol officers heard an alarm sounding at Express Oil Change. While they were on scene, an E-911 dispatcher told officers they were getting additional signals from inside the business.

Police found evidence of a burglary in progress and entered the building, where they found Williams trying to hide.

Williams was arrested and booked into jail. He was given no bond by Municipal Court Judge Gary Goodwin.
