Columbus Municipal School Board Will Be Holding Community Stakeholder Meetings

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Columbus Municipal School Board will be having community stakeholder meetings this week.

The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the educational forum.

The Mississippi School Board’s Association will be there guiding the topic of discussion.

School board president Jason Spears says input from the community is going to help the board know what they need to be looking for in the next leader of the school district.

“It’s very important that people come out and express their desires as to what characteristics and other qualities they would like to see the next leader of the superintendent position here at the schools,” says Jason Spears.

The first meeting will take place Monday night at 5:30 at the Courtyard Marriott.

The next one will be Tuesday night at 6:00 at Cook Elementary.
