Columbus PD Toy Drive

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus Police plan to put gifts under the tree for multiple city families in this year’s toy drive.

All children who qualified will receive eight gifts each, making a nice Christmas for any child.

Columbus Air Force Base and Mississippi State will be coming to help assemble 100 bicycles for the distribution on Thursday.

Police are grateful for the community’s assistance in this drive.

“To help give some of these kids that would not have Christmas if the city of Columbus and, you know, the people who stay in the city of Columbus did not donate these toys. It’s just showing that we are better together, and if we all work together we can make something big happen,” says Officer Rhonda Sanders.

There’s still time to donate toys.

There are drop off boxes at Bank First, Cadence Bank, and a twenty-four hour drop-off box at CPD Headquarters.
