Columbus Police Arrest Man For Stealing, Assaulting Store Employees

COLUMBUS, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On Sept. 8th at 5:02 p.m., Columbus Police responded to Sunflower Grocery located at 1802 Military Road.

The store manager reported that Reginald Wilkins ran toward Railroad Street after being confronted for stealing.

Wilkins is alleged to have assaulted store employees after being confronted about concealing and attempting to shoplift items from the store.

One of the employees received minor injuries during the altercation.

Wilkins was located in the area of Railroad Street and charged with Robbery.

His bond was set at $15,000 by Municipal Court Judge Gary Goodwin.
