Columbus police arrest one person in connection to McDonald’s shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus police arrest one person in connection with a shooting at McDonald’s and are looking for two others.

18-year-old Antwan Roland is charged with shooting into a dwelling and aggravated assault for the Christmas Eve incident.

Columbus Police Chief Fred Shelton says bond for Roland has not been set.

Meanwhile, investigators continue to look for 16-year-old Jaylin Hodges and 22-year-old Tyrei Johnson.

Hodges is wanted for aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Johnson is wanted for traffic violations and questioning in the incident.

Detectives believe the shooting started after an argument about overpayment for the food in the drive-thru line.

A driver is accused of then driving to the other side of the restaurant and shooting into the building.

One employee was injured.
