Columbus Public Works employee charged with aggravated assault

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – We now know the name of the Columbus Public Works employee accused of stabbing his co-worker.

Lamarcus Davis is charged with aggravated assault.

Police Chief Fred Shelton says the two men got into an argument at a worksite Wednesday on 11th Street South, near South Pickensville Road.

It happened while the truck they were in was stopped.

The victim required stitches but police do not believe the injuries are life-threatening.
