Cotton Truck Burns In Oktibbeha County

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Scary moments for a cotton truck driver on Tuesday on Highway 82, near Starkville.

It happened before noon, about two miles outside the city limits.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the brakes on the big rig overheated, causing the fire.

The driver, Andrew Goodwin of Enterprise, Mississippi, was not injured.

TNT Transportation owns the truck that was bound for North Carolina.

Traffic was slowed in the area until crews cleared the scene.
