County Leaders Approve Improvement Contract For Horse Park

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A new horse park in Lowndes County is moving forward.

County leaders approved a $320,000 contract this morning, September 29, to pave the parking lot at the facility.

It’s located just off Highways 45 and 82.

The work will also include clearing a field where an area will be built.

Supervisors also approved allowing the Lowndes County Industrial Development Authority to issue bonds to expand the Waste Water Treatment Facility at the Lowndes County industrial park.

The county is not responsible for the bonds.

Once the work is complete, the industrial park will be able to handle three million gallons of waste water.
