Covid 19 cases remain on downward trend

JACKSON (WCBI) – For the second straight day new Corona virus cases drop.   The newest numbers show 572 new positive cases and 8 new deaths.  That’s the second day of triple digits following a stretch of 1000 plus days.
The latest results puts the total of Mississippi Covid 19 cases at 61,125 with the death count at 1,711.

Monday is also the weekly summary of recoveries is released.  The state says 42,391 people have recovered since tracking started in mid March .
