CPD Arrests 4 on Drug-Related Charges
COLUMBUS, Miss. (Press Release) — Columbus police arrested have four individuals on drug-related charges.
At about 2 a.m. Jan. 28, officers stopped a vehicle on North Lehmberg for a traffic violation. During the stop suspect Amphetamine pills were found. The driver, 32-year-old Rice Glover Jr., was charged with Possession of a Controlled substance.
That same day about 8 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on 5th Ave N at Military Rd for a traffic violation. During the stop, paraphernalia used to smoke marijuana were found. During the search, a felony amount of methamphetamine was also found. The driver, 23-year-old Caitlin Stockman was charged with Possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of paraphernalia along with possession of methamphetamine.
At about 4 p.m. Jan. 29, officers responded to a disturbance at 564 Chandler Road in reference to a disturbance and shots fired. A search warrant was issued for the residence. During the search, cocaine and spice were found. The home owner, 42-year-old Michael Cockrell, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of spice.
At about 12:50 a.m. Jan. 31, officers made traffic stop at 19th Street and Main Street with a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, marijuana and cocaine were found. The driver, 52-year-old Claub Tate, is a convicted felon and was in possession of a firearm. Tate was charged with 3 felony charges: possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana more than one ounce and felon in possession of a firearm.
