Crash claims the life of a Walnut man attempting U-turn

WALNUT, Miss. (WCBI) – A Walnut man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Tippah County.

Around 6 p.m. Sunday, Stoney Waldon attempted a U-turn on MS-15 before crashing into Ripley resident Jimmie Gay.

Master Sergeant Ray Hall says Waldon died at the scene, while Gay and a young passenger received only minor injuries.

Stoney Waldon was 39-years-old.
