Crawford women, Tiffany Ames, accused of food stamp fraud

LOWNDES COUNTY, MISS. (WCBI) – A Crawford woman is accused of food stamp fraud.

Tiffany Ames was arrested by the Mississippi Department of Human Services investigators.

Ames is accused of not reporting her husband’s employment income.

This means she was allegedly overissued more than 29,000 dollars in public assistance money.

Ames was recently indicted by a Lowndes County grand jury.

She turned herself in today.
