Crews make repairs to Plymouth Road after sinkhole

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Drivers will soon be able to make their way across Plymouth Road.

A sinkhole formed after flood waters.

The road was shut down for days.

The city took bids from contractors to get it fixed so the road can once again be accessible.

Philips Contracting will start fixing the road and the city says the work will hopefully be done by Sunday.

The city stresses this will just be a temporary fix while engineers work on a plan to get that portion of the road fully repaired.
