Body-Cam Footage Released From Traffic Stop Of CPD Officer

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Watch the full footage from the traffic stop in Starkville involving a Columbus Police officer.

Sources tell WCBI that the CPD officer in question, Sgt. Louis Alexander, has been suspended.

Reports indicate Alexander was stopped by a Starkville officer on March 9. Starkville Police have said the off-duty officer was swerving, leading to the stop.

Alexander was not arrested and there are no pending charges.

A Columbus city spokesman confirmed the traffic stop is under investigation and the city council met yesterday to discuss the incident.
