David Gore sworn in as Webster County sheriff

WEBSTER COUNTY,  Miss. (WCBI) – There’s a new sheriff in Webster County.

David Gore was sworn into office effective immediately Monday morning.

Interim Sheriff Andy McCants is retiring. McCants took over the position after former sheriff Tim Mitchell was arrested last year.

Gore beat republican candidate Jeffrey Mann and independent candidate Brad Robinson in the November general election.
