Deadlines Set In Boykin Civil Case

An update to a story we first brought you Friday concerning the civil case of Former Columbus Police Officer Canyon Boykin.

Both Boykin and the City of Columbus had asked the civil case be out on hold until Boykins criminal manslaughter case was finished but Judge Sharion Aycock denied that request.  Today a glimpse of how fast that civil case where Boykin is suing to get his job back surfaced.  Following a telephone conference call deadlines in the case were set.  Both sides must list their expert witnesses by February 2017, discovery where both sides must turn over the evidence they plan to use has a March 15rth deadline and any other motions have to be in the courts hands by April third of next year   Boykin’s criminal case is set for trial this November but is likely to be delayed
