Delta adds flight to GTR Airport

GOLDEN TRIANGLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The Golden Triangle Regional Airport is getting another round trip flight between the GTR and Atlanta.

On Saturday, Delta Airlines announced the addition of a fourth flight starting in June.

Airport executives said the new flight will be in the early afternoon to give passengers more flight options throughout the day.

“We appreciate the efforts by Delta to help our growth and support the people in the Golden Triangle,” said GTR Airport Executive Mike Hainsey. “As industry continues to grow and bring people to our area, we will strive to provide them the service they deserve.”

After seeing a record number of passengers in 2018, the additional flight is part of a long term plan for growth.
