Neshoba County, Miss. (WCBI) — Thursday was the final day of political speeches at the Neshoba County Fair and the Democrat candidates for governor made their case as to why they should have your vote.
“We’ve lost more jobs than we’ve gained, we’ve lost over 40,000 jobs since Phil Bryant started…”, says candidate Vicki Slater, “…all the Southeastern states have an increase in manufacturing except for Mississippi and we’re only one of two states that have actually has a shrinking economy…”
Dr. Valerie Short tells WCBI that she believes the biggest issues for this election is the funding of education as well as accepting funding for medicaid expansion.
Both candidates also say they are for the changing of the Mississippi state flag.
