Discovered Meth Production Equipment Sparks Investigation

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A response to reports of suspicious items in Lowndes County has triggered an investigation.

Deputies were called yesterday to 4233 Hwy 12 E. in Lowndes County in reference to the items. Upon arrival, deputies discerned the items in question were “toxic pieces of a methamphetamine lab,” according to a press release provided by the LCSD.

LCSD Narcotics Unit agents were later called to the scene to complete the cleanup.

After sampling and processing the items, authorities prepared the “hazardous waste” for disposal.

Investigators are now keeping their ears to the ground as they investigate a possible meth manufacturing ring.
