ITAWAMBA, Miss. (WCBI)-Dissatisfied customers of the Northeast Itawamba Water Association get a chance Monday (10-1) to vote on the utility’s future. But members of the utility’s board, including three who only have been in place a few days, say changing course now won’t help solve the utility’s problems. Customers have set a meeting for 7 Monday night at the Fairview Attendance Center gym to vote on a petition to remove the current board. Three of those members were just named last week and the others only began work in January. The petition comes from continuing complaints from the 18,000 customers over everything from low water pressure and dirty water to erratic billing and high costs.
