Drought Conditions Continue Despite Rain

UNDATED (WCBI) –  Scattered rain across the region did not ease the drought in our area.  The latest drought monitor figures show Monroe County is still the hardest hit part of the state with the entire county classified as being in extreme drought.

Parts of each county adjacent to Monroe are in that same classification with portions of Pontotoc now in extreme drought.

The picture is not much better in Alabama with both Lamar and Marion Counties under extreme drought.
