Drungole-Ellis speaks out on election race

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Paula Drungole-Ellis defeated Roy A. Perkins in the District 14-3 Chancery Judge race Tuesday night.

Dorothy Colom’s did not seek re-election leaving the spot open.

WCBI caught up with Drungole-Ellis at the Oktibbeha County Circuit Court moments after her win.

She tells us this has been a dream of hers for many years and she is thankful for the opportunity.

“It has been a long journey when I decided to run for this position several years ago than January 2 I officially qualified. I work very hard, and I believe that if you work hard and if you’re passionate about what you want and set a certain goal that you will reach your goal and that’s what I did. I believe we are enjoying the fruits of our labor,” said Drungole-Ellis.

She tells us she is excited to start serving the community.
