EMCC Graduation

EAST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY COLLEGE, Miss. (WCBI) – Hundreds are starting new chapters as the fall semester comes to an end and graduates set off into their next great adventures.

This afternoon, December 12, graduation took place at EMCC Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses.

325 academic and career technical students from all over the state, and beyond walked across the stage to get their diplomas.

We caught up with one graduate who say’s graduating makes you all emotional.

“It’s really exciting. I’m really happy to be done. I almost cried during the ceremony. Things that I will carry on throughout my future is that even though it seems like the world is going to end if you get a bad grade, it will always go on and there will always be people willing to help,” says graduate Pooja Shaunak.

This graduate by the way, is a local and is from Starkville.

She’s not done with her education.

She’ll be starting RN school soon.
