Employee hit by car in Kroger parking lot

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – An employee at a Columbus grocery store was hit by a car and the driver checked out of the parking lot.

The hit and run accident happened in the Kroger parking lot on Highway 45, just before noon Monday.

Baptist Ambulance, Columbus Fire and Rescue, and Columbus police were all on the scene.

WCBI was told the worker was not seriously injured.

The driver drove away after the incident and has not been found.
