Expansions Could Mean Jobs in Yalobusha

YALOBUSHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Series of expansions and relocations could add up to some big job numbers in Yalobusha County.

Economic Development Director Bob Tyler has told supervisors Windsor Foods is planning a major investment and expansion at its Oakland operation. The frozen foods maker already employs 300 people there and has expanded twice since opening four years ago.

An Atlanta company and its Southaven partner also are considering locating in the county-owned Kellwood building in Coffeeville. That could mean 60 jobs.

The Allied Group currently operates in the building, but Water Valley awarded a bid this week to Goodwin Construction to build a new home for the company.

That’ll mean about 35 more jobs when the building is completed next year.
