Fairly Nice Easter Weekend. Storms Next Week.

TODAY: A mix of sun and clouds in the morning becoming mostly sunny by the early afternoon hours. Highs in the low to mid 60s. Clear, calm and chilly overnight. Lows in the 30s.

EASTER WEEKEND: Sunny on Saturday, with increasing clouds Sunday. Highs in the low 70s. Fairly pleasant weather overall, but an isolated shower or two cannot be ruled out Sunday, mainly along and north of Mississippi Highway 4. Overnight lows will be in the 40s and 50s.

NEXT WEEK: We start out next week in the upper 70s and low 80s, with a low end rain chance Monday. Storms return to the forecast Tuesday, mainly in the evening and overnight hours. Early indications are we could have the ingredients in place for some strong to severe storms, but it’s way too far out to get into specifics, and things could change. Rain exits the area Wednesday morning. A brief cooldown into the low 60s Wednesday and then upper 60s for Thursday.
